What are your settings I may try a few tweaks.
Do you use headphones simulation mode?
I lost the passenger section, apart from the cockpit there is nothing like opening the compartment door. I reset the plane twice and nothing the same.
That happens when the system is low on memory (the main bottleneck on Xbox), if you move forward a bit, it should load okay.

Thanks PMDG for giving us xbox simmers this aircraft, the 737 is excellent but the T7 is just another level. I do have one question, how is the trim used? I do select the trim button on the yoke but no button seems to do anything. Do I need to do some type of modifications on button assignments?
Thanks again for not forgetting about us XBox simmers! Reading the manuals and watching YouTube videos for the 737 had me learning so much about how to actually startup and fly the plane and excited to start doing the same for the 777 now.
Sounds like this has already run much smoother on release than the 737 (which is expected with the communication from PDMG about working with Microsoft and the XBox platform to test). I’ve been away and busy the last few weeks but looking forward to picking this up with the liveries soon!
You operate it like in other aircraft but how it works is rather unique. Read about that in the “Fly By Wire (it’s not an Airbus!)” chapter of the introduction manual.

Indeed. That is mainly because we did not give in to pressure and kept the product in development until we had all parts done. Of course, we are still very much working on things but it was a different mindset.
Xbox users and PC pilots are the same for us, both paying customers and we will go a long way to make sure the experience is the same for both.

Thanks! I’ll give it a read
The way you all have optimized for Xbox is next level. All (including MS and Asobo) should take note of what is possible on console. The 737/777 are just well beyond any other aircraft in the sim for Xbox. It is incredible.
That is very kind of you to say. However, there was no optimization for Xbox. It is 100% the same code as used for the Windows version. I think the fact that PMDG has been doing this for 27 years shows.
For us, there is no difference between Xbox and PX users, and we will go a long way to make sure their experience is the same.

I can’t buy 777 on my console what can I do?
I think you will have to ask Microsoft, Rychu234. Best to send them a ticket at https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

New marketplace update today. No sign of Liveries unfortunately
More landing challenges and a tanker ship though!
Is anyone encountering an insufficient fuel issue with the PMDG 777? I plan the flight with Simbrief, set up the aircraft as the manual suggests and I’ve followed Youtube tutorials too, however I’m finding I run out of fuel before I reach the destination - often quite a distance before.
I’ve consistently had the issue and I’m rarely able to complete a flight.
I’ve tried a few different troubleshoot methods, including but not limited to:
- Increase the Fuel Factor. (P05 is default, I’ve even attempted going up to P30)
- Add ‘Extra’ fuel in SimBrief
- Make sure the aircraft and Simbrief are both showing metric units
- Make sure to load in winds
- Make sure to load des forecast
- Enable live weather/time
- Make sure fuel/payload/ZFW/ etc, on Simbrief/OFP correspond with what is input in to the FMC.
- Monitor for abnormal temperatures.
However nothing seems to work. In fact, as I type this, I am on a flight from KOAK to OMDB, and I’m watching my fuel slowly dwindle away. I am currently just about to reach Norway, with over 3000mi still to go and I’m running on vapour.
This is despite being practically fully loaded in terms of fuel on departure (block fuel: 145,524kg). It leads me to wonder is it a fuel burn issue rather than a fuel load issue? I’ve noticed I am able to complete short haul routes (just), but have no chance with long haul - could it be the auto cruise has a draining effect on the fuel?
I would also like to add that there is no fuel warning until the flight is well underway. The fuel at arrival as stated in the PROG page is around 18.2, this slowly decreases as the flight progresses, until the inevitable glow of the fuel warning light warms my cockpit.
I’m curious if anyone has had such an issue and managed to fix it, or can tell me perhaps I’m doing something wrong (likely), or is this already a bug known by PMDG and it is being looked at?
This is a reported concern on PMDG’s forum:
https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/microsoft-flight-simulator-2020-2024-products-discussion/pmdg-777/systems-propulsion-aa/324389-pmdg-777er-fuel-consumption-issue
I suggest you contact our support (support.pmdg.com) because what you see is not normal.
We do have issues with the temperature in the sim (just this afternoon, I was cruising at 38.000 feet and noticed outside air temp was -2 while I was expecting -38 degrees; of course, this wrecked all fuel planning). We have seen several other users experience the same.
During the test cycles, we were normally within 1.5% of expected use (well within what most airlines find acceptable), and that is what should be expected when the sim delivers the condition SimBrief expected. Auto Cruise speedup, etc., should have no effect whatsoever.
As you say, you monitor temperature and can only do short-haul; something else must be a factor. Our support team will try to find that for you. In the meantime, a flight where you note down the temperature every few minutes will help a lot!

I am having the same exact problem. I have done 2 long haul flights and the start fuel prediction at destination is ~ 10.8 Tons.
And around 1000 nm prior to my destination the prediction is close Zero.
On both flights I used up to 8X time compression, I have not tested with 1X to discard if thats the problem.
missing the “h” in “https” so link doesn’t work
Makes me wonder if the PMDG is asking the sim for the temperature and receiving it for the lateral position, but not the correct vertical position (altitude)?
So is it possible something is malformed or missing in the request, or parsed incorrectly in the reply, of the temperature data?
I often fly the Asobo / Working Title Boeing 787 and the Simbrief fuel predictions match very closely to the fuel burned even in very long flights, and with or without simrate increases. I assume it is the same weather / temperature data…
I get a lot of screen flickering during take off, is anyone else experiencing this?
