PMDG DC-6 Major Problem on Xbox

Have we had any new communication on this issue? What is the estimate time to get this fixed. Is it a day, week , month?

Was expecting a fix in 24 hours or is this not possible?

We also need to log this issue on PMDG’ forum as requested but I am unable to log in to actually provide them with the details.

That is why they might think it is only 10% of users because not everyone has replied in that forum.

No there are dozens and dozens reporting their console type, issue, etc.

They were probably told 10% by MS.

I haven’t seen 1 report from an xbox users that it is working. I call BS. It’s 100% broken for everyone

There is a difference betwenn 8-10% are affected and 8-10% are REPORTING issues!!! And thats what Roberto said, 8-10% are REPORTING issues. Believe me, they know exactly how many peoples bought it, they dont have to guess.

However, there might be a big amount of useres that just dont report the issues, even if they have them, but there is no possible measurement, so they can only go by the figures they have.

Did anybody of affected users try make clean install of MSFS with SU7 and try install DC-6???

My first PMDG add on since Flight Simulator 2004 Boeing 737 and 747

Purchased the DC-6 in the marketplace for XBOX less than 12 hours ago, I had the chance of very little testing but got all the issues included in other reports here and the FlightSimulator forums, have restarted the game several times, uninstalled and re installed the add on, tried different locations and game settings including AI traffic, Ai weather turned off, the same behavior is observed at all times with the DC-6.

Other default and add-on aircraft are working with no problems after testing the DC-6.

PMDG DC-6 A and B models with different liveries are selectable and a flight can be started on any FS2020 location, parking, gate, runway or in-flight
Instruments will remain static at all times, having no airspeed, altimeter, turn coordinator, vertical speed, horizontal situation, engine gauges, etc.
The only instrument that seems to work is the magnetic compass
Levers and most switches display the tooltip pop up but cannot be actioned
Levers and cockpit objects that respond to interaction require a second click or mouse scroll wheel input as there is no response when using the XBOX wireless controller
Flight controls are working but there is no visual feedback on the yoke or the flight control surfaces in the exterior (ailerons, elevators, trims, rudder)
Rudder pedals move but rudder surface does not
Flaps and landing gear move is visible

I would love to read a comment from anyone outside of the 10% of users that are having the issues, including Microsoft/Asobo who claimed to have a working product,

Also I would like to know about any possible refund / customer protection policy

Nobody is claiming a working product. They are simply downplaying the issue. We need patience me thinks. And we need to report the outlet to customer protection authorities as the DC-6 is still on sale knowing it is completely broken. It needs to be pulled from the store until fixed. It might have launched not knowing of the breaking issues, now they keep selling fully in the know.

■■■■ happens but keeping it on sale while nobody knows how long a fix might take is irresponsible.

You used the marketplace, you spent the money there, you got a non-working product. Sounds like a „you-problem“ :sweat_smile:

Sorry, there are no refunds or anything. In fact, you dont even have a receipt that you bought this product. The only thing you can do is wait and hope…

If they can put a product out for sale on a Tuesday, they can pull it on a Wednesday. Very little reason why it is still on sale.

I used the Marketplace and got a reciept. Also refunds were handed back for the Seafront Sim situation. Can’t see why this would be different.

Got a receipt for it as well, as @LEEis3371195 commented, recently a couple of add-ons were quickly withdrawn from the xbox specific market and a refund process is in place, the seafront vessels enhanced AI and the seafront global shipping

nope, it works fab on pc. ypour setup needs a lil tweaking.

they cant test it on the xbox..you can only get it there via the mp.
i am pretty sure it will be resolved, ms.Asobo willing.

Good thing is, according to PMDG the sale is until 31st December, so who has not bought it can wait and see if it can get fixed in the meantime.

I reckon I’ll definitely leave it until after Christmas, personally. Allow as much time to sort this as possible. Love the aircraft and what they’ve done with it but it’s largely unusable in it’s present iteration.
