PMS50 GTN750 Project

just wondering how you update to the latest version of the premium GTN 750?
assume you just need to remove all the 750 files from community and then drop all the new ones in? (assume you might need to register it again?)

thanks - already read that a number of times hence the questions!
its unclear - if you remove all the GTN files basic and premium files from the community and replace them with the downloaded files it should work without having to re-register?(if yes where does it keep your registration key? : )

In the doc:

Updates

To update your package (basic or premium), just reload the new package, remove the old one and unzip the new package in the community folder.
Be careful to save the content of the flight plan import folder if you have one before removing the package.
It is not necessary to re-enter your license after an update

What is not clear here for you?

thanks for the reply!
what does ā€œreload the new packageā€ mean"?
does it mean download all the new/updated version for the premium (i.e. basic + premium) - delete all the ā€œoldā€ 750 files installed in the community folder (I have about 6 for base premium and aircraft)- then replace them with the newly downloaded ones?

example for basic:
download the new basic package
remove the old basic package from the community folder
unzip the new package in the community folder

It is as clear as spring water; And it works nickel.

any ideas about why the GTN750 does not show as installed in my Seminole when is in fact installed and working fine with the C172??

Contact me again on discord

Did you download the new Seminole update? Did you enable the GTN via the EFB?

After some investigation, it seems that the last livery of the Seminole doesnā€™t correctly detect the GTN750 as installed.

thanks for clarification!
presume every time I update no need to enter my ID number again ?- does this also apply to my navigraph log in?

I fly on the Asobo C208, in general I have no problem with the GTN750. But sometimes it happens to me that I canā€™t change the radio frequencies, and the squawk. I leave the simulation, choose my plane again and it works. I have the impression that if I put too long between opening the avionic 2, and my action on the frequencies, is the reason, but not sure.

Oh man, entering that Metar tokan was horrible  I finally had to copy it to a text editor to change the fontā€¦I couldnā€™t tell what was an I or an l, so I kept entering it wrong. ( i vs L)

DITTO ā€“ but once it is entered, its doneā€¦ and is very cool to have ā€œin the cockpitā€ rather than using outside the cockpit PC Apps to get weather.

Iā€™ve experienced a few times the same issues with the JF Arrow. After restarting the Sim it is fine again.
Didnā€™t find the cause so far.

I have popped it out into the realsimgear 750 but it doesnā€™t fit properly but works. Iā€™m not able to map my screen using ms pen and touch for some reason. Iā€™ve contacted realsimgear and they are suppose to get back to me next week , I believe they want to connect to my computer and see whatā€™s going on.

I just tried the ovation mod and it works great but when I pop out the display it is of the g430, so wonā€™t work with the realsimgear as of now in the updated carenado planes . it works in the panel just not realsimgear

That is the problem

Hereā€™s a weird one,

I am flying the Mooney, Flight plan below;

I am on the 67N40-66N40 leg, but the leg is not shown on the map, my plane flies towards it anyway; (I realize this screenshot shows me on vloc, but I switched to GPS and it still went to waypoint 66N40 as per the flight plan, instead of 65N39 as shown on the map.)

when I get to the waypoint a new leg is created between 66N40 and 65N39, this (new?) leg existed in the flight plan to begin with but wasnā€™t on the map
