Description of the issue: Compare to FS2020, City and Town name are missing from POI

  1. Start a flight
  2. City and Town name dont display as POI

• YES. Consistently- every time. Landmark and City POI checked in settings.

Have NEVER had City POIs in game. A very few Landmark POIs - completely random when they appear. Assume just another bug.

DX12, Asus 4080, 7950x3D, 32g Mem, Dedicated router.

Yeah I was just thinking this, I liked having the town/city names as POI’s have the same issue, hope they enable them again once the game gets sorted.

I agree…it is a bug.
Voted. City and Town Names should show up when selected as an option.

Same for me, using a PC to access via Cloud Gaming. Makes it very difficult to know where you are - I’m just doing the digital tourist thing nand can only use an X box controller

Yep. I really, really missing names of towns an cities. I jus love to fly in free flight mode and explore. Since names are shown on map before you start I really don’t understand why are not in game and I hope this will be implemented sooner or later ( hope sooner :wink: )

• From the first time a ran MSFS 2024 this has occured. I triple-checked whether I had the city markers option on. It was on, yet the city markers do not appear.

This image shows the name of a ship, but no marker of the city I am flying over.

I am aware of the fact that there are more heinous or game-breaking bugs, but for me it would give MSFS 2024 more immersion if I can see the markers and know where I am flying. I would like a fix. Consider it a quick win.

I have already voted, so I am urging for more votes to resolve this bug.

Either on PC or XBox, there is no more town name since two months.

Same issue here, city names do not display. Landmarks and Airports still do even though all three are checked.

Did you vote on this bug? It’s just outside the list of most voted on bugs (look at the March 6 update post).

If this gets more votes, it has a higher chance to be fixed.

Incredible that this simple bug hasn’t been fixed since this game was released—yikes!

If they disabled the City Markers on Xbox for FPS issues, at least say that it is disabled.

Still no fix sadly, I liked that about 2020 I could actually see which towns and places I was flying over, I hope they address this eventually.

Game is downloaded, not cloud streamed
Primary play Free Flight mode

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Yes! City Markers have not appeared in the game, regardless of the city marker settings. Other markers such as airports all appear but cities and towns do not.
• Bug is easy to reproduce, as I have found no way to successfully enabling them, even after a full re-install.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• This bug seems like a simple feature that should be expected to work. Cities and towns are important markers for navigation, especially for more casual players. If this is widespread, please consider prioritizing this fix!

Hope this gets fixed soon. I really miss the City/Town markers. Please Asobo.

I’d just like to add - totally support this. Really miss this functionality. It was such an enhancement to see where you were flying over. And, needless to say, it made VFR flight a delight too.
