Is your performance/stability worse, the same, or better than before the City Update? Please vote once you have played the updated sim for at least an hour.
ms-store here: once I got CU15 it was marked as “Not available”, same than @TenPatrol. I had to restart the sim and then it was automatically marked as “Streamed”
Not sure if it is intentional or not, but a large swath next to downtown Chicago is missing it’s photogrammetry. This area did have photogrammetry previously. May the team please check on this area and if it got excluded by accident? All of the rest looks fantastic! I’m loving how far west of O’hare it extends.
Even with this update Chicago still has the awful green ground tiles that cover the majority of the city. Also, a lot of the photogrammetry is missing around MDW, Ugh…
Bijan has removed certain areas of photogrammetry in spots around the World close to airports. You can add it back in by deleting the associated file in the photogrammetry folder of the Bijan folder.
Nah, the green has been an issue forever. It’s the ground imagery outside of the photogrammetry area. I did ask Bijan on his product thread in the forums if there is anything he can do to fix it, though. He’s recently been experimenting with changing ground colors in Europe. So, fingers crossed.
Chicago is kinda disappointing, a lot of the PG looks unchanged and the only new section added seems to be west of O’Hare. The colors also do not blend in at all with the satellite imagery nearby.
Madison has some weird PG/no PG strips around and on Dane Co Airport.
Can’t tell exactly what’s been updated along the Mississippi, but we did notice the water mask looks pretty great between LaCrosse and St Paul.
Twin Cities area photogrammetry looks really good overall, but MSP and STP don’t look great and have a bunch of configuration issues, taxiway lights still incurring into the pavement, etc. FCM had weird dark areas on the ramps and runway fillets - almost like a missing/bad texture.
Lots of airports in these areas still with incorrect VASI/PAPI. Needs World Hub touch.
I don’t know if there are server problems regarding this update but after this update my toolbar is broken. It’s a grey bar and I can’t click on it or remove it. Restart doesn’t help either.
I’m on store version too, and I’ve not tried to install this CU yet, but I just bought an upgrade to one of my airports in the MP, which after purchase it showed up in My Library as “not available” and needed a sim reboot to become ‘streamed’. Something is currently up with MP upgrades & purchases I think. So it’s not just this CU.
