I have the same problem. I think the issue is the lever is functioning like a switch, and not as an axis.
Cut off and Run. There is no midway point like low idle. In fact I tried dragging it to the midway point but the oil pressure doesn’t rise and I blew the engine.
Hoping to hear from the Community Managers as we did with the ATR that an update is planned to bring this aircraft into Career mode. It just doesn’t add up that it wouldn’t be included, considering:
the type would fit well into at least one specialization
It’s a first party product, the majority of which are Career compatible
It was developed by Raul, who both prides himself on flexing the most of what can be done within the confines of the SDK and also just released a far more complex aircraft which is Career compatible
Hoping the story is just that they ran out of time, and while v1.0 doesn’t have it, the upcoming v1.1 will (just throwing numbers at the wall here, don’t read into it).
I hope this isn’t FSReborn ‘Lite’ and now down to Asobo to keep updated as that probably just won’t happen. If it was full cream FSReborn I would buy it in a heartbeat but I’m wary now.
There are some issues being reported and some things I’m not too happy with, but it will be interesting to see how Raul handles it. Will it be a Mike Johnson/Albatross scenario where it’s treated like his own third party product? Or will it be hands-off until directed by MS? We’ll see.
Lots of reports of low res textures which I doubt the developer has any choice about as this needs to be accessible to everyone on every platform. Shame they can’t put out an ‘extreme’ version as well.
No but I’m hoping the CMs see my post in this thread about it and can get an answer on whether it’s expected or not. They’re certainly a bit busy for the next 72 hours so I’m not expecting anything right away.
I love the phenom and the 500 but this, with all due respect, is pretty poor. I know when things get handed off to microsoft it is not directly the main developers fault, but there needs to be something done with the very low polly geometry and very low textures. I did notice as well that the prop is waving front to back off balance and the awful exhaust blur is still there even after the engine is off? Idk hope things get worked out on this as im feeling a little ripped off with this purchase.
I’m sorry developers, no Career Mode support, no purchase from me.
When even “first-party” releases don’t bother with supporting the “most popular game mode” in the simulator then it’s clear there’s some underlying issue here. For me it’s not acceptable that Microsoft adds their name to something that isn’t even fully compliant with their own game.
I’ll be happy to purchase if Career Mode support is added in the future.
Just really wanted to say how pleased for Raul and his family I am, a single person developer who has worked blood, sweat and tears on his projects over the years being handed a contract by Microsoft.
Can only imagine how he must feel.
I’m sure knowing Rauls dedication to the details that if he has any control in this project then the little issues will quickly be ironed out.
I only saw the trailer, it shouldn’t unfeather while hitting start, there is no oil pressure available to achieve that… It is the same nonsense as the TBM.
