All polls are deliberately closed for now. We will open the polls for voting once players have had a chance to fully experience the new MSFS 2024 Marketplace.

[Edit: surveys are open for voting now!]

There was an update to this and a few other aircraft in MSFS2020 as well, is this the same update?

Are there any notes on it for 2020?

The announcement says

will include a MSFS 2020 logo in the upper left corner of the thumbnail image so you will know that it was created natively in MSFS 2024.

Are you really sure that’s correct?

Hello @skypilotYTS,

The updates to these aircraft in MSFS 2020 are just slightly revised Marketplace text. There are no functional changes to the aircraft themselves.

Thanks,

Thank you

What? So when will they be in the marketplace?

So, there’s no third party content available in the marketplace… So is it fair to say that this was released purely for the purpose of the Brazil update?

Hi @Newspawnz,

Yes, there was a typo there where it was missing the word “not”. The full passage should say:

Content that has been ported to MSFS 2024 and is available for sale in the Marketplace (because the Creator has confirmed that it works in MSFS 2024) will include an MSFS 2020 logo in the upper left corner of the thumbnail image so you will know that it was not created natively in MSFS 2024.

We have made this correction now. Thanks for pointing it out!

I just tried to get WU19 and when it finished “acquiring”, the sim simply CTD-ed.

This, along with known issues like “Users may experience a crash when accessing the Wallet tab in the Marketplace.” and the fact there is no 3rd -party content simply beggars belief as we are FOUR MONTHS past the release of this product!

I would like more info on Simverse credit. How would I benefit from this? And I don’t understand how the Credit amount relates to the dollar value? For example why can’t 19.99 just simply be 20 credits, How did you arrive at 80?

Clicked on “Aircraft” and the list of aircraft appeared within a short time.
Clicked on “Airports” and have been looking at the loading circle for a few minutes so far. Are we already killing the servers?
Edit: The “Back” button works immediately, so at least the sim is not hanging and getting WU Brazil worked without a problem.

Well, I’ve got the Brazil update now, so possibly yes. Otherwise, as the song has it:

There’s nothing more lonesome, morbid or drear
Than to stand at the bar of a pub with no beer.

Its just the classic dirty trick of trying to make it seem as cheap as possible when you spend your credits later

That’s a very old sales technique. 19.99 is less that a whole 20, so looks cheaper. It is, but its a psychological trick.

As for why they don’t charge charge a national currency amount, that’s an entirely different conversation. Look up any conversation regarding online games, premium currency, and the reason for their existence with regard to law.

I assume that’s because there are no airports in the marketplace as of right now. Same is true for Activities too.

Same here. Half-baked and rushed again as everything else with MSFS2024.

Well I was just rounding off. My point was how did they arrive at 80?

I agree with you on this confusion. You don’t go to your favorite online retailer and hear them say, “We invented our own currency!”

The only way this makes sense is if they occasionally drop the exchange rate for higher purchased amounts, and even then, they could just have a sale.

That might be the case. I’d have expected it to list the airports from the PD edition like the aircraft but maybe the airports are not sold separately.

Yes, unfortunately it is once again not what was promised. The fact that not all third-party products are available would not have surprised anyone, but the fact that nothing is available at all is very disappointing.
