[Polls] Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Marketplace Feedback

The M500 and the Sting S4 are there.
Do you know if 1.0.27 is the most current version?
I know for the Piaggio P180 it is not.

There should be a tag on each product thumbnail indicating what sim it is native for, as in the screenshot from @TJTurner above.

Yes and fully compatible and aproved by me and my 30+ beta testers

Go with confidence.

All along I planned on getting the Aviator Edition, but I also wanted a physical copy to go on the shelf next to my FS2004 steelbook. I didn’t want the super duper limited edition, so I got the only other option - the physical Premium Deluxe edition from Best Buy for $130, and planned to spend $70 to upgrade it straight to Aviator once I added it to my MS account.

Except I couldn’t. The ā€œPremium Deluxe to Aviator Editionā€ upgrade on the Xbox/MS Store said (and still says) ā€œnot available separately.ā€

Instead I was told I would only be able to upgrade my copy within the Marketplace, which wasn’t open. No big deal, the game isn’t in much of a state for me to enjoy it the way I want to yet anyway, so I wait. I don’t even play the game until the Marketplace is available. Finally, the Marketplace opens, and you want me to now pay $100 to upgrade my PD to Aviator?? That’s a markup of almost half!

To make matters worse, because I have Game Pass, this whole time I wait the Aviator Edition goes down in price to $160, only $30 more than I paid for PD. So now I have to spend over 3x the difference (I only make this comparison because I haven’t played the game this whole time, due to missing features MS said would be there on day 1).

I hate complainers and whiners. I hate that MS has made me so angry that I’m compelled to write this rant. I never thought the launch would go smoothly. I also never thought everything would magically be backwards compatible from Day 1 like they said. I didn’t complain when these things happened. I remained (and do remain) optimistic that the game will one day replace FS2020 on my SSD. But for whatever reason, I did not expect to have to pay nearly half extra just to be able to upgrade to the version I originally planned to get all along, but couldn’t.

I think a grace period/sale to be able to upgrade our editions to match the original pricing after waiting months just to be able to do so isn’t asking too much.

In the mean time, I’ll be hanging onto my $100.

Any news about career-ready aircraft? It would be nice to have the Honda Jet teaming with the Cirrus SF50.

I can open the Market Place in 2024 and as of today I see some planes that are marked 2020. I also can see upgrades for my versins of the game.
But when I tried to purchase literaly anyting I only got a small window telling me to ā€œplease waitā€ and a nerver ending circel.
Was anybody able to purchase anything on the marketplace in 2024 and can give me and advise what I am doing wrong?
This is just a realy frustration user experience.

It was a freebie but the only thing I got was the Brazil update.

Boy, I found the Marketplace needlessly difficult to get around.

I really wish they’d stop the requiring us to click the right arrow to see the list of items within the category.
Or at least allow the scroll wheel on our mouse to accomplish this.

Also, why has the developer been removed from the thumbnail as is the case in FS2020?
Once 3rd party items are added to the store, this will make the store even more difficult to quickly filter the noise.

As long as one is not able to purchase anything in this store it is in my opinion of absolutly no interest to improve the usability of the marketplace.
First functionality - none given as of today - than usability improvement and last some decent content that is not labeld 2020.

Why are you looking for base sim Aircraft in your library?

see above.

Well I can’t even find the first-party content, e.g. LLs and FFs which I have not bought in MSFS2020.

When I search the Marketplace for ā€œStaggerwingā€ or ā€œBusinesslinerā€ the particular aircraft do not show up. The only thing that does is the offer to upgrade to Aviator edition.

Is anyone able to see the LLs and FFs offered as stand-alone products in the Marketplace?

Thanks!

WHERE IS INSTAL OPTION? For a chance to start deliver on xbox it is a MUST option.:-1::-1::-1:

I have a wish for the market place. When selecting filters and then changing category from Airplane to Helicopter, the filters are reset. It would be good if they are kept through the current session. The two last items should (for me at least) be default.

Even better would be if the filters are persisted through all sessions. In that way I could keep a filter where I for example only see the creators which I trust whenever I start the sim.

Stupidity and general decrepitude.

Mind you, I’d have bet good money (none of this Simcoin rubbish) I was looking in the Marketplace, not My Library, but really it’s all just a blur to me now.

It says version 1.0.25 for the FSR500. But on your website latest version is 1.0.26. How will updates be handled in MP? I do not want to buy/play outdated versions.

It looks to me like a few more 2020 aircraft have crept into the Marketplace since I checked earlier today.

No must-haves at the same level as the FlightFX P.180 I bought (and successfully flew) this morning, but if someone put a gun to my head and said, ā€œBuy something or else!ā€ I wouldn’t have to take a bullet.

don’t feel bad. I’m still trying to make sense of the World Update being ā€˜purchased’ for free as always but the ā€˜make-up’ planes that are in fact sold in the Marketplace just show up in your list of planes without ever having to be bought or anything.
