[Polls] Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Sim Update 4 Feedback (PC/Xbox)

Nope, you should submit a support ticket.

XboxX. I’ve just done a flight from the Pyreegue EGNX DHL cargo apron flying the PMDG 777F which is one of the most complex aircraft in the sim.
I flew a circuit to POL,OTR and GAM VOR,s then landed back at EGNX runway 27. The main issue that I had was the blurry textures on approach to EGNX runway 27 which cleared when I crossed the threshold of the runway apart from that I didn’t have a single stutter all the way round. Before SU4 when I landed at EGNX in the B777F it was a stutter fest and blurry textures. :+1:

My copy still loads 1.6.31.0.

There is no update in the MS-Store, the Xbox App and not triggered by starting the Sim.

Weren’t Beta-User supposed to get the update yesterday?

Theoretically yes, in practice we are left with the .31.

Yes, I haven’t made any progress for over a day. 97% Change VPN and DNS addresses 8.8.8.8/ 8.8.4.4

You’ll stay on .31 until the scores from the challenge league reset I guess.

probably. Only that we’ve been told 2 days ago, that we will be updated “tomorrow” which is now “yesterday” and I cant find any update on this since that….

Who told you that?

You can just opt out of the beta by following the instructions in the linked post.

Exactly. Me too, I’m still on 1.6.31. I guess there have been a lot of things getting released in last few days so they are still catching up.

true. And as the build should be identical, it’s not a big deal.

Yet, I’d expect to have some sort of update on that matter.

There is still something I can’t let go of. I’m evidently a bit OCD about my software. Lol.

XboxX. At the moment the sim is in a good place with SU4. Does anyone think that general terrain textures are a little bit softer than SU3 ???
If that is the case, it’s a shame that we have to lower resolution for performance and stability :+1:

New build out folks:

Still unplayable with the 2047 error with the new update

Now we have the answer. .33 was on the way and of course they waited for this one to drop.

Bit unusual though? A non beta beta build

Still on 1.6.31.0 for me. Apparently it’s a keeper.

EDIT: patience requirement

To complement on my initial impressions, I did another test flight in VR.

I ended up giving up on the foveated mode. What I saw :

when foveated is ON …

The FPS seems more stable and less stutters / jitters are seen… BUT, the FPS looks like it’s below 45 or even 30 FPS, no matter the amount of tuning I try.

When the foveated is OFF

More stutters / jitters, especially at high speed and low altitute, where I can look sideways the fast moving scenery (looking 12 oclcock on your nose, these are less apparent as the pixels do not move nearly as fast.

But at the same time, disabling foveated mode alltogether turns the FPS much smoother (depites the occasional stutters). Especially on the inside cockpit view, where it feels much smoother.

Testing was done on the Varjo Aero via OpenXR …

It’s not your English. It’s the MSFS Team’s English, or overall written communication skills. They may be smart at tech, but not all users are that techy and don’t instantly understand their creations and how they work.

I’m confused. I copied my FS20 Community folder files, one at a time, into the new Community2024 folder. Not all worked in FS24. I assume that’s because as they are not, “…compatible with only MSFS 2024…” So, some files are not compatible. Is that right?

But, this could be the problem, because as many have stated the MSFS Team may have created this problem from the beginning when it declared that FS20 add-on files would work in FS24.

I think this new Community2024 file “feature” continues the confusion, as you can see from all the various critical comments in this thread.

Please advise, thanks,
Richard
