On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being most stable), how do you rate the Stability of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Sim Update 5 on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Cloud Gaming?
All surveys except for Download/Installation are deliberately closed for now. We will open these polls for voting once more people have had a chance to fully experience MSFS 2024 Sim Update 5.
I’m trying to find this to turn off the automatic transition when I open the door, but I can’t find the settings in the Flight Interface settings: “Enter aircraft” and “Exit aircraft” prompts are now enabled in game modes other than World Photographer. (It is possible to disable these prompt with the HUD options in the flight interface settings)”. Where is it? Or is it not about the doors?

As many Xbox users in this forum have been warning for several builds now during the Beta, this update is a major regression in performance and stability for the Xbox.
Major Airliners at major airports have once again become largely unplayable. Massive blurry textures struggling to load in and out. Immediate low memory warning and the refusal to load avionics.
The plane loaded after several minutes with a WASM crash, the first time ever.
I’ll test more later but a huge disappointment already after we warned for so long to test extensively in the Xbox due to the unique way the CPU/GPU share space and maintain stability v. graphics.
It’s just baffling to me how something like this can ever make it thru quality control and think it is OK to isolate so many users….
The A350 add-on is a third-party product. Microsoft and Asobo are not responsible for testing third-party mods and add-ons. If you are encountering issues with this product, we suggest contacting the add-on’s developer for support.
It does it even with the A320neo V2 which isn’t third party. As already mentioned we have said about performance regressions in the last few builds which have been ignored. We have gone from a perfectly functioning sim, to a very broken one now. I never encountered any low memory warnings and black avionics on SU4, or if I have they were a rarity.
Wow - lots of fixes! Thank you. For those that do download the game content for offline, is it correct that the whole base content needs to be re-downloaded? Seems this does not support downloading only the changed items but needs to download everything?
It has nothing to do with who made what, it has everything to do with memory management on the Xbox and how it is unique compared to a custom PC gaming build. Take any large GB-sized aircraft with any large-GB sized airport and you get the same results due to how the Xbox works.
This what the entire point being made over several beta builds that the new memory threading technique introduced in SU5 does not work on the Xbox and we advised much more testing was required.
Unacceptable and a breakdown in communication across internal teams. This happened before with SU3 and we see now that this has occurred again just two builds later. Internal policies and practices of what constitutes an acceptable and playable game must change and become platform-specific.
Quality builds loyalty over meeting a happenstance deadline…every.single.time.
That’s a totally unacceptable response in the context of the many beta test comments from Xbox users - which have once again seemingly been ignored.
Your Xbox QA is substandard and needs to be addressed. Simple as that.
Few minutes of updates scrolling… and still cockpit is a deadly trap due to unfixed LOCK/LEGACY/WHITE DOT bug (xboxx) . Shame. Uninstalled. back to fs20.
Issue with shadow flicker / double aircraft shadow on AMD 9070 XT was not fixed. With FSR 3 FrameGen the flicker is really bad when on runway. Turning it off only partially fixes this but it still creates double shadow of the aircraft.
