yep… I read now around 30 posts and thought each time I have a Déjà-vu
For users with low end systems we can also see a good summary here:
That mean that MSFS can run on low end maschines, of course with “low end” settings. That is mentioned in some other topics too, where users discussed about settings.
The OS itself should of course “clean” so that no issue comes from this side ( which seems was the reason for @Grollie1640 ‘issue’. The classic for “older systems” is often a full hard-disk, which the users not notice , but which slow-down just all. )
I started flying MSFS with an RX570, and it’s possible to get “okay” frame rates in the high-twenties but the reality is that the sim loves and eats 8GB VRAM minimum GPUs all day, every day.
If there was one component I’d update on that - it’s the GPU. Get yourself at least an RX580 (and there are plenty of other more recent GPU options in the same price range now) and you’ll see an improvement.
The other piece is to accept that you can only fly, at the most, 1080 and 100 percent scale. Keep everything on Low for starters, no aggressive LOD or Detail settings. Clouds and Glass Refresh are big culprits.
Thanks for Info and constructive input instead of Low power Pc trolls. I’m averaging 48Fps on 1280x720 I know that’s low settings but ok on acoustic solutions 26" monitor/TV
I’m having the same issue but my PC is not exactly low end, I’m running a Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB RAM and a 6700 XT and the game runs at 15fps at most in photogrametry cities, both CPU and GPU are barely being used.
thats a known “issue” and there are topics with discussions about that..
One example where I think it summarize it good:
( the other existing topics you can find with search function )
Join into and you find out , that currently LOD setting needs changed so that it match with your system. There are also other alternatives mentioned where you can have PG still enabled ( removal of 3d files ), but see existing topics.
PS: if you want to use memory cleaners, be carefull, this can cause crashs and not recommendation from my side. Simple ensure a correct pagefile setting, in special with ‘only’ 16gb RAM.
