I’ve been noticing over the past few days that a number of my games including Hogwarts, South of Midnight, Elder Scrolls Oblivion have all had unexplained crashes while playing. The common denominator might be the last Nvidia driver I downloaded - 576.52. I’m curious if anyone else is seeing the same thing happening since I’ve changed nothing else on my PC. There was also a Windows update a few days ago so that could also be the culprit. It might just explain the random CTD’s people are seeing here in MSFS as well.
No, not at all. I had no CTD since installing.
I’ve been using 576.52 all day and no CTD’s if you look on the SU3 feedback thread I posted steps of what I did today with other tweaks. Not sure why but it’s all remarkably stable for me, and that is after today’s win 11 update too.
I was previously seeing a CTD every flight in 1.5.2.0. I have a 4 yr old PC with a 3090 & 64GB RAM.
Link to steps I’ve done today-
I somewhat expect an occasional CTD in FS because it’s a beta but I have never had crashes in other games until the last few days. Could easily be my own fault because I messed around in DLSS Swapper after getting the new Nvidia driver.
I just upgraded from 32GB to 64GB in prep for FS2024, updated bios, video driver (nvidia 576.52) and have been updating drivers along with testing out SU3beta and not a single CTD so far.
I did run Memtest on the memory to have the best chance for happiness and it ran clean.
Had been holding off because of all the issues but SU3b is a lot nicer than I expected. Some issues but overall trouble free so far with nice frame rates and no stutters detected though I’m still setting things up, testing, and optimizing.
