ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue:
Beginning I think with 1.7.28 when I am in VR mode but not flying - i.e., select a mission, challenge, etc., maps are not displayed (just black screen).
Fine when ctrl-tab out of VR.
For example - in the challenge - the map of the course is black. Icons and such are there (start, end) - just not the map of the course.
In career, the world map is black - icons there (planes, missions, etc.), but not the map itself.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

Start sim (press start after load)

Select something that should have a map - let’s say weekly challenge low altitude

Get to the point where the map is shown (but do not start activity or press “fly”).

Enter VR mode
