Will never get tired of this.
Flew out of MDPP (Aeropuerto Internacional Gregorio Luperón in the Dominican Republic) with live weather and it was rather threatening. But the sun shone on the town of Cabarete:
And back towards the airport
Dominican Republic is always beautiful!
Cant wait to see the 2024 skies!
Literally. I haven’t been able to start a flight yet.
Clouds look just the same as 2020
These were taken on a flight from Darwin (YPDN) to Mount Bundey (YMDY):
Off the coast at Cape Hotham. Trying to thread the needle between two storm cells:
Heading inland at Point Stuart. I’ve gained enough altitude to avoid the worst of it… so far:
Clear air flying for a while, at least:
Descending for a landing at Mount Bundy, I’m back in pea soup. The electrical failure of the panel lights in the Air Tractor AT-802 (a bug) does not help..
A wierd cloud vortex over the A36, as I continue my descent to the airport. I’m rather low at this point, pretty much flying without instruments:
There’s supposed to be a runway somewhere down there…
Fortunately I break out of the storm cell just in time. YMDY is a welcome sight!
Touchdown!
