This is my setup with my trusty Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS X I bought 8 years ago for playing Kerbal Space Program. Decided to try out MSFS this year and I’m enjoying it. Usually prefer to use the Reverb G2 but the 34" 21:9 ultrawide works well too.
Oh, that thing in the trash? Sorry, couldn’t help being a bit cheeky for the photo. I was looking to treat myself to an upgrade on my controls as a new flight simmer… I really wanted to like the Turtle Beach Velocity One yoke and throttle pack. It seemed to tick all the right boxes and is incredibly rich in features & concept. Unfortunately, execution and quality just isn’t there. Primarily it has simply unacceptable lack of smoothness in the yoke movement, among a few more minor issues. I’ll be returning it.
I keep thinking about “what’s next” but honestly the HOTAS X just simply works. I would need something with easy setup/packup since the space does share duties with general gaming and also sim racing (with my rig on the excellent foldable Playseat Challenge chair)
