I once caught a KC-135 taking off from Travis Air Force Base in California while passing over it, was a nice coincidence of timing :slight_smile:

It’s a bit fuzzy from that altitude but I’m pretty sure it’s a KC-135 refueling tanker (a military Boeing 707 derivative) based on the configuration and the fact the base’s website says they fly a refueling wing with them out of there. :smiley:

I’ll bet military spotters are better trained on recognizing these things from fuzzy aerial photos than a random civilian like myself though, hehe! :wink:

Caught this great shot of the ramp area for private jets on takeoff from Orange County’s John Wayne Airport (KSNA 20R). Always plenty of “static traffic” here IRL… :wink:

(There’s a nice payware KSNA from UK2000, and a quite good freeware one by FreakyD.)

Crazy. This is exactly the same camera position as one of the aircraft I fly. I really thought it was a picture from the Sim😂
