Good afternoon forum,
I was going through my PC settings and found that my power profile was set to “Balanced” with the defaults rather than Performance which I set it to upon initial setup,
I changed it back, verified my settings and then rebooted only to find it had again reverted back to “Balanced”.
After poking around, I found that within the Alienware Command Center (used for overclocking, RGB profiles, etc…) there is also a section for Power and Thermal and in there, Thermal was set to preformance but Power was set to balanced which kept overriding my settings.
Guess I’ve been simming like that since day 1, whoops!
Anyways all corrected now, but if you run ACC may want to take a peak and ensure you’re set at Performance.
