Power Up / Throttle Not Properly Working

 Thank you using the Bug section, using templates provided will greatly help the team reproducing the issue and ease the process of fixing it.

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

I’m using stable mode.

Have you disabled/removed all your mods and addons?

Yes

Brief description of the issue:

When power up the FBW-A320 or the IniBuild-A310 (only with these two, but are only 3rd party I have), I do it all the way: connect GPU, the External Light goes AVAIL in green, I click it, and nothing happens. No white ON light, can’t power up batteries, and can’t turno APU on. Nothing works. If I start on the runaway, I have a issue, that I also have with GA default aircraft: the throttle only works if I repeatedly put the throttle up and down, if I keep it up or down the aircraft looses all power, and in both situations after 1 minute aircraft looses all batterie energy.

Hello @Joaolmartins , welcome to the MSFS forum.

If you disconnect all your peripherals from your PC, does e.g. the FBW A320 start normally?

I suspect a peripheral binding is interfering.

I’ve just dosconnected all the periphelicals, and the problem remains the same. :frowning:

Have you tried simply starting on APU? I also could not get ground power to work as I recall. To start, turn on both batteries. You should see 24.0 volts. Click APU and APU start buttons near bottom center of that panel. Then click APU Generator and APU bleed. You should now see voltage going up to 28V and then you can click on the engine bleeds and feed pumps. Finally start engines using the knob and switches behind the throttles. I’m going by memory here, but think I got it all.

Here’s a link to a example, where you can see the problem:

It seems you are using the A310 from Asobo. The panels are entirely different than the A320neo which I was referring to. I tried using the A310 and also cannot figure how to start it. I’d forget about using that version. You may want to try the A320neo. Very easy to get started and most functions work. Or the third party A320LEAP from Flybywire.

I have the same problem with the A320 from FlyByWire.

The voltmeters on the 320neo (I think also on the FBW LEAP) are useful - I could see the voltage increase to 28V when ground power was connected, but still I could not start on ground power. I can only start engines after starting the APU. That is not realistic, I would guess, but it works.

I called for the power truck and he came along and connected the power cable, when I clicked on the EXT PWR switch I got a nice loud thump and the battery voltage jumped to 28V. However very soon after that, first one then the other battery voltage fell back to about 27V indicating little or no power from the GPU being delivered and engines could not be started. So, start up on APU generator and all will be well (you may have to toggle the battery switches off-on).

It just don’t go any way I try. It’s impossible to power up any 3rd party aircraft.

I think it’s embarassing to Asobo to sell a premium product that is full of issues, and they just don’t care.

I really appreciate the help you are trying to give me.

Are you using a USB HUB? maybe its non powered?

I just checked and can do cold start on 3rd party CJ4 from working-title. There are some good videos on this - that model would be good one to try since it is quite simple and should work for you.

but I think you really need to fix the throttle problem you reported with GA aircraft before anything else can be fixed.

Looking at your video
I noticed that the FBW A320 shows 0V which indicates a power issue like you described in your initial post.
I would have expected that disconnecting your peripherals fixes that.
I would highly recommend to follow the troubleshooting steps recommended in the FBW documentation and see if that helps:

Maybe try that and report back.

Men!!! I could now say I LOVE YOU eheheh

After 2 years, you got me the solution. It was the UTF8 Support that needed to be checked! Maybe because my computer is in portuguese. Many many many thank you! You solved me the biggest problem I had!
