Practice VFR ATC comms with a real-world flight instructor - #2

Hi all, I’m a real-world flight instructor and I’m hosting a small group flight on Wednesday, December 21 anytime between 7-8:30 PM Eastern (0000-0130 UTC) where I’ll be helping people learn/practice VFR ATC communications (completely free).

The goal is to help you be more comfortable flying on networks like VATSIM without the stress of doing it on the actual network. Ask all your questions and experiment with radio calls in a friendly, low-stress, and conversational environment.

You can fly at/around these two class D airports in Connecticut: Danbury (KDXR) and Bridgeport (KBDR)

More info is here if you’re interested, or send me a message with any questions! VFR ATC Communications Practice - Flight Sim Coach

Hello everyone,

I’m stunned by this software. On paper and in the presentation videos, you can’t help but be seduced and even thrilled.

As a former vfr and ulm pilot, I found a dimension of bluffing realism.

However, the software closes itself 8 times out of 10, usually as soon as an operator starts to give the runway in use!

No matter how much I deactivate my other addons, change aircraft (the Comanche has its own sound manager, for example…), my PC doesn’t give me any configuration problems, and I think it’s powerful enough.

I’ve sent 3 messages to the editor on his contact form, and no reply!

It seems that quite a few of us have problems with software that hasn’t been debugged, which is a shame, because it’s a complete game-changer, a great immersive advance, and let’s hope it evolves.

Good flights to all.

Begon.

Good evening to all,

A few lines above I complained about frequent crashes of ATC VFR (spontaneous shutdown of the app.) Since then I’ve been able to get in touch with the developer and I’d like to thank him for his attentiveness and involvement. Since then he’s sent me several majs, and the last one solved the problem.

A great phew, because this “must have” for French VFR gives an undeniable immersion and allows you to work on your phrasing.

I didn’t get in touch with him on the TBLFscenery website, but on SimMarket, just in case.

I thought it was important to share this feedback if others encountered the same problem.

Enjoy your flights.
