Pratt & Whitney PW1000 engine version for A320neo!

Dear Sirs, the default A320 model from Asobo for FS2020, could have in the future the Pratt & Whitney PW1000 engine version. Operators such as Lufthansa, Wizz, Swiss use this type of engine. For realism, both variants would be ok: LEAP and PW1000. All the best.

I’m sorry if this is a dumb question but I thought fs2020 shipped with two different choices for us to pick from for the a320n. Is this bot correct? I cant find any options to change engine type

What? Where does that imply in the marketing advertisements that they’ll allow us to choose engine types?

Are you referring to the loading tips that says the A320Neo can choose between the two engines? If so that’s just a information for us. That the A320Neo was designed so that airline operators can choose different engine options that they want to attach so they have better flexibility on their initial cost investment vs operational costs. But that’s just that… Information and bit of context for us.

They don’t exactly provide us the engine choice in the sim. I don’t see why they need to.

No it has just the one, I believe it is the Leap version, but I’m not 100% sure on that.

It is the CFM LEAP version, but this one does not respect the details of the real engine either. Many are missing. This is displayed in MDCU

What’s missing in the default aircraft engine when compared to the A32NX mod?

If you know A320Ceo or NEO well, you will notice that both LEAP engines lack details of the exhaust intake engine details including in the cockpit. Look at a real cockpit and a CFM LEAP engine on the A320Neo. Honestly it should be the equivalent of a320 aerosoft texture details etc. Plus it is not normal to come with a single engine version. Pratt & Whitney PW1000G should also have been an option that you can switch. Many operators like: Wizz, Lufthansa or swiss use PW as engine .From the start, the realism decreases.

A Better A320NEO please, I know this topic is beaten to death I know the consumer base of product I know the core community needs I’m a singular figure and this my one point of contention.
The team is doing there best, covid is making things hard all I’m saying is that would like a professional team of developers put some effort into giving a product its best.
I’m not a real pilot flightsim is an escape from the norm I don’t want to that person but your airbus offering is lacking. The NEO have two engine option yes so why is there only one type it breaks visual immersion and all I asking is that the team fix this model. Here are some pictures from a young freeware developer Phoenix Pro Simulation on Facebook(not me)

making not just the A320 but all A319NEO A321NEO.

Isn’t the FBW team doing this for the stock A320neo? I know they have plans for remodeling.

I have heard of this but I’m not to keen with a study level product yes it what the major market wants but a casual offering should something asobo provides while having high study level product offered by 3rd parties.

I don’t think the fbw qualifies as study level. I mean, depending on who you ask of course. But a noob like me can fire it up and land it somewhere else just by watching a couple of youtube videos.

I think you’re asking quite a lot. The FBW ticks the box if you want something more accurate. The default A320 is literally casual flying with quite a low barrier to entry.

What systems do you specifically want functioning, and which wants do you not want, for an A320 that’s in between these two?

:unamused::unamused::unamused::unamused::unamused::unamused::unamused: Im looking for Asobo to remodel the airplane and add the PW1100G engine type I’m not looking for PMDG STUDY LEVEL just something visually engaging.

Honestly, the default A320neo exterior model is pretty darn good. I think slamming Asobo and saying their A320 is “lacking” is a bit harsh just because you want a certain engine variant visually modeled.

FBW and FENIX is what you are looking for, but the FENIX one is coming at a cost. FBW plans to do it, but it will take a while. Dont count on ASOBO on this one, they should focus on the core sim anyway instead of half-assed default planes, IMHO.

And also, idk about this guy modelling the A320, but modelling a 3D-model is not the same as developing a plane. The difficult part is the systems.

For sure Pratt engines are missing, they do look better and some liveries don’t fit the current CFM ones.

It shall be noted: A320 and A319, 321 have slightly different wings. Just prolonging the fuselage is not enough)

How can the fact that they modelled only one type break immersion?
There’s nothing to “fix”.

Following this “logic” the 747 and 787 are immersion killers and need to be fixed as well.

Well, I like the stock Neo. A number of switches and knobs are inop, but that’s all. And maybe the flight model is inaccurate, but I’m not a RL Airbus pilot, so how would I know the difference?

I can’t think of a single stock aircraft you can’t say that about.

Yes it is plain and simple. You add the 747-8i but not the Freighter there only the 787-10 and not the 900 or 800 but I pick battle simply as one plane at a time.
