With the 390 we can fly quite long missions, but the Honda Jet has simliar characteristics and we can only fly short missions. I really don’t understand the reasons why.
Limiting the possibilities of aircraft we buy in the Marketplace is not a good way to promote career mode.
The 390 is considered VIP class whereas the Honda Jet is Private. You can read in the SDK exactly what the sim uses to distinguish between the two here.
Similar characteristics is vague. In what way are you considering them similar? Fuel capacity, fuel burn rate and cruise speeds are fundamental in establishing the range of an aircraft. If the range ends up being different these will be the reasons.
Range is about 1,500 nm in both; both get past FL 410; and both may reach 350+ KIAS in cruise. They are very similar.
Probably the Honda Jets devs decided to be more realistic and didn’t marked the plane as premium. This could be the cause. I’m not blaming MS/Asobo at all. But it’s a pity that only shorter flights can be done with this wonderful plane.
But something that MS/Asobo could do is create a setting in the sim to ignore the realistic restrictions in career. That would allow people to do missions with any aircraft available, if they want.
