Problem with Fenix A320 start when "Cold and Dark" as default Panel State is set

Hello ,

I have an Problem with the Fenix A320 . When i set in EFB that the Panel State should be “Cold and Dark” as default and i start the Simulator with the Fenix A320 the no Switches works. I cant see the external Power Connected . And im not able to start the EFB ,

Is this a known Bug or do i something wrong ?

Thanks
Michael

You should see a green Avail lighted switch below and to the right of BAT 1 and BAT 2 if external power is connected to the aircraft. You can use the aircraft-specific EFB to connect the GPU if it is not connected.

Thats my Problem , that i dont see the green light , because there is no GPU connected when i start as default in Cold and Dark Cockpit .
No GPU , No green available light , no power for EFB . No power for nothing .

When i start in default State and change to “Cold and Dark” in the EFB then its “Cold and Dark” but with a GPU connected .

Cold and dark is that: Cold and Dark. When you press BAT 1 and BAT 2, the system should be minimally powered. You can then start the APU or order GPU.

Yes , i think the same . But when i press BAT 1 , nothing happens .
The Fenix App is Running in the Background and when i choose another Version of the Fenix A320 then it works in the default state .

That is what happens!
Because of Airbus philosophy, no light on indicates there are no issues.
When the Battery button is pushed, it is in the correct position, and no light is shown.
The first battery connected will have no indicator light showing, as there is no power.
When you connect the first battery the second will light up as there is power on the system now.

Is the “ext pwr” button lit up, and does the push button work?
What happens when you push the second battery switch, does it light up or stay off?

As i wrote in the original Post.

No external Power available, No Green light , because there ist noch GPU connected.

Pressing BAT 1 or BAT 2 Button dont Work.

Did you set the chocks, and enable the GPU in the Ground Services tab in the EFB?

I think you dont understand me .

Without Power i cant start the EFB .

Without EFB i cant connect GPU .

I think the Problem ist that the Airbus dont have any Battery Power when U start in Cold and DARK as Default .

Here what Google means :
An Airbus A320 has battery power when a Ground Power Unit (GPU) is not connected. The aircraft is equipped with two main batteries that can be switched on to provide power to the essential DC bus, allowing for cockpit lighting, APU starting, and basic systems operation during a “cold and dark” state.

Please can someone check this behaviour on his site . Was very helpfuhl .

  1. Start with Fenix A320
  2. Choose in Fenix EFB default Panel State “Cold and Dark” and set this to default Profile.
  3. Close FS2024
  4. Sart FS2024 with the same Aircraft
  5. Try to Switch Battery Power

Thanks
Michael

If you have pushed both the battery buttons in, and nothing is working, and it does this consistently, the first thing I would do is try restarting the flight.
If that doesn’t do any good you could try a reinstall of the aircraft.
You could also post this on their discord.

When you start your flight and nothing seems to be working, check to make sure the Fenix A320 application started in the background and is actually signed in to your Fenix account. Otherwise a bunch of things may not work.

After getting onto the plane, the plane moved forward, and the wheel blocks couldn’t stop it; the engine didn’t start

Most probably your Fenix A320 application is not working. Manually search on windows search bar for “FenixSim A320” and start the application. Give about 30 seconds or so. Click on restart all in the application itself if just opening it didn’t work. That should fix it.
