Hey everyone! Me and the team at Salty Simulations have some previews of new features coming soon to the aircraft to share. Please keep in mind these features are still a work in progress, and are yet available in the dev or stable versions.
New custom font and small visual “re-design” of the PFD, ND and EICAS
The visual EFIS “re-design” is now available in the development version! It features the new font, re-positioning of a lot of elements, general accuracy improvements and new waypoint icons.
A small part of recent progress - there are now (optional and opt-in) models of pilots in the cockpit as well as refined default views. Other notable recent progress includes major improvements to the EICAS, the addition of metric units, improvements to VNAV and more.
We have just merged a pull request featuring integration of the Working Title flight plan manager which fixes countless flight planning issues such as route changes and direct to, as well as adding holds, discontinuities, vectors and many more features.
The new vertical autopilot with VNAV capability has now been merged into the dev version. It features totally new logic in most autopilot modes, VNAV descent path with calculated T/D, RNAV, LOC, NDB and VOR approaches and more.
