Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Intermittently, the prop animations in various planes seems to break. So for example, upon starting, instead of it being the normal smooth increase in prop speed, it seems the prop goes from frozen, to a blurred image to then almost a faster blurrred image. I cant reproduce it every time, so Im not sure what it is. Ive seen it in VR and 2D.
Iâve seen something like this, where I was flying on full power and all of a sudden the prop visual âslowed downâ and it looked visually as if they were spinning slowly again. Nothing else changed, not my airspeed, or the sound. Just the actual animation.
This was on a third party plane, so I blamed it on that. Havenât seen it since.
There are two blurred textures - one slow and one fast, so yes, thatâs what youâre seeing. As for âfrozenâ to blurred, unless itâs some kind of visual stutter, most piston planes go from stopped to running at least fast enough for the âslowâ blurred texture in less than a second once the engine fires. But with t-props, things take a little longer. Depending on your frame rate, you may see the blades strobing in each frame before the animated blades drop out and the transparent disk takes over.
Without being able to see a video capture from your system (Winkey+Alt+R by default in the Xbox Game Bar), thereâs no way to know for certain if you actually have an issue.
This has no transition though. Hitting the starter the blades dont move at all, only going from each texture. They dont even appear to be moving after the engines are started. Its just a static texture of a spinning prop. Ill have to take a video to demonstrate, its hard to explain.
I get what youâre saying, and it does sound like a bug or conflict. My first suggestion (as always) is to move your community folder off to your desktop and try again.
Is it something like this?
Thats it - thats what it looks like at cruise. The startup is frozen, half blur, blur. Then at power its like that.
