Does this happen with all your mods removed?

Just removed everything from the community folder…still occurs, and just tested in the Beechcraft King Air, Auto De-Icer, same issue…so no mods are contributing to this.

This is not a Technical Support Response

Not sure by what “rattling” is, but it sounds like you have two controls bound to prop de-ice and one of them is twitchy or sending multiple signals (usually a sign of a worn potentiometer).

Scour your control mappings for the keyword ice and filter for “Assigned.” You might find the suspect mappings that way.

I did have two different profiles, and a two different mappings to the de-ice function. I removed all the keyboard entries for De-ice. I restarted the sim, cold and dark…and the toggle button for Prop De-ice is still vibrating and making a rattling sound. Plus, I can move the switch, it just vibrates, all other switches operate normally. So…thanks for the input, but still occurs on all prop aircraft with a de-ice switch.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

No

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

I have been flying the V35B regularly lately and have not experienced anything like this with the Prop De-Ice switch. (I just finished flying it before typing this, for example)

It sounds like a hardware control is assigned to the function and there is some sort of physical switch bounce that is causing this.

Have you tried with a new profile all default ?

Yes, using a new default profile…same issues.

This does seem like it comes from a mod conflict.
I know you have tried with an empty Community folder, do you have any Marketplace addons as well?

Yes…It occurs on the Bonanza v35B. Also tested and confirmed it occurs on the DA TBM 930, DC 3, Beechcraft 350I, and G36. Noticed that the de-ice prop switch will not respond to mouse control, but will respond to the H key, which is a de-ice toggle, however, graphically you can see the swith move when pressing and holding down the H key, but it still is rattling visually and audible. Have not clue if this really effects these planes ability to actually de-ice the prop.

If you aren’t experiencing any download issues, since you do have some Marketplace content, I would try uninstalling that content and then seeing if the issue is still there.
If you are one of the folks that is experiencing slow Content Manager downloads, this may not be the time to do that.

If that doesn’t work, another possibility is a sticking element in a controller, mouse, or keyboard which is sending an unwanted signal to the sim.
This is something that may not be readily apparent.
Try temporarily removing all deicing command assignments and then trying the sim.
