Update: FBW has just released an update to the stable version of A320 in MSFS2024, solving the engine start issue. A big thank you to them!
Yes, you’re right (and that is what I was trying to tell @NSCC6887, what you can perfectly use WINWING MCDU with Dev version and SU2 (and prior ones), but in case you find any issue you will not get support appart from the automatic responses !ms2024 and !when)
Despite that, you can fly FBW A320 with WW MCDU.
@TenPatrol and others, good morning. Well the MDCU keyboard is working in the FBW A20NX in 2020 in both the stable and dev instances, but the display does not. I’m running the latest version of SimAppPro which is V.1.16.50_Beta. The WinWing EFIS and FCU appear to be working in both the stable and dev versions, but I’ve not yet left the gate hoping to have the MCDU fully functional first. Any suggestions welcome to get that MCDU display on-line, thanks in advance!
Check your Community folder and see if you have a folder named flybywire-externaltools-simbridge. If it’s there, remember that fbw-simbridge needs to be running.
Thank you for the solution, was all there. Apparently when I did the FBW install I had not set simbridge to auto install on start-up, or whatever that wording is. The MCDU display now works…
Onto the daunting task of relearning Airbus language and getting to know the A320NX again LOL!
You’re welcome. Fly safe.
Made it to EWR with a little creativity and a lot of look-up along the way. Very impressive Managed flight compared to my many months old recollections of flying the v2 last year. Hand flew the ILS from 2,500 on down in actual IFR, was a bit messy as the control inputs differ from Boeing, so I will have to lighten up my touch a bit. Having the MCDU made all the difference for me, without it, I would not have found it so quick to get back into a Bus!
Hi Simmers,
got a new Winwing MCDU and want to fly it in an MSFS2024 inbuilt A320neo.
When I am in the aircraft, the on screen MCDU is on and displays and NOTHING is on my peripheral WW MCDU.
The buttons also do not function in the app.
Somehow the binding does not seem to work at all.
My FCU and EFIS work fine though.
Got the Simpro App installed and running (already for my WW FCU + EFIS).
Environmental Check in Simpro is all grren.
In Device Test all buttons and the display are fine, fonts and colors OK.
In Key Bindings I have the MCDU connected with MSFS2024 and the Sauerwein and the Virgilio configurations. Get a green RUN there, too.
The backlight of the MCDU is on.
I can see it in the Controls tab of the MSFS24 settings ok.
Anyone had this and knows how to fix it?
Thanks,
Jan
Not compatible, check out this thread for a detailed discussion why…
As I understand it, “inibuilds” is an other company developing aircraft models for sim applications.
The A320neo that comes wiht MSFS2024 is by Asobo.
Don’t see the connection here.
My misunderstanding then. Cheers
Oh, no, you were actually right. MY BAD!
So I waited so long to get an MCDU peripheral and it turns out they don’t even work with my favorit aircraft.
How freakin disappointing!
I see from your profile that you are on PC. May I suggest you consider the free Fly By Wire A320NX? I’m flying it now from Newark to O’Hare and everything WinWing works: EFIS, FCU & MCDU. Just a thought. Cheers!
Hmm, yes might be an option.
I had tried the FBW a couple months back and something did not work for me and it was all good on the inbuilt. Can’t remember exactly what it was.
But might be a good time to give it a second chance.
The customer agent of Winwing also confirmed to me just now that the regular A320neo is not supported yet. Bummer!
FBW probably lots of updates since then, so do check if you decide to give it another try.
From IniSteve last week about Winwing MCDU :
“Nothing yet but should have more to share after FS Expo at the end of the month.”
Keep the faith guys ![]()
Hi, this massage came from ini last day “Hi. Back into the swing of things and we have an MCDU on hand. Hope to have an update soon.”
Great news. Where did you see this? Discord?
It was posted on the ini forum
I haven’t seen anything related in the Release Notes for the ini’s Airbuses, however does anyone have further news?
