Has there been any talk about future adaptation of Data Comm in the sim?

Would be nice. Could move some of the ATC messages to the FMS, and also include clearances and textual weather (METAR / D-ATIS).

Those are from a Garmin and Collins system. FANS1/a, CPDLC. Looking forward to more and more ARTCC’s using it. What area are you in?
FANS inclusion into the sim would be neat - and even more so with the partnership that’s supposed to be going on with Vatsim. Oceanic comms are always fun… unless you’re being patched in with ARINC that is…

I’m. In SW service area. Like to see the practical side.
Even more fun going at low altitude, no HF, and having to ask the airliners to do a position report relay on VHF / 121.5. Have done North Atlantic that way several times.
