ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue:
When using EFB flight planner in PSVR2 mode it is very hard, almost impossible to tap on the map to open the context menu for addidng waypoints or seeing info about airport label etc.
This is because the VR pointer is constanly moving by small increments but the code to show the context menu is triggered only when the pointer is absolutely static on the map.
Please relax the context menu tap triggering logic or let us assign a separate action to handle the map tapping so we can use a button for that no matter if the map or vr pointer is moving.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
99% pf the time. If I really fix the vr controller on table to eliminate any movement of the pointer I was able to show the context menu but this is unusable in real game play.
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
-
Enable PSVR2 mode
-
Open EFB tablet
-
Go to flight planner map
-
Tap using R2 or X button on the map surface
-
It should open the context but instead the pointer or map is moving
YOUR SETTINGS

Hey @FlaxenSheet4355
Are you still experiencing this issue at all?
Cheers
Hi @Chewwy94 yes, it’s still the same in latest release.
The thing is that pressing button on the map is srolling the map as well which is in conflict with the context menu action.
I can open the menu after many failed attempts(because I know the issue) but I can see other players will think it doesnt work at all.
I understood you use the VR controllers. The triggers (R2) are in the standard setup assigned to scrolling in the EFB. So when you click on the tablet you scroll the map each time.
Go to the control settings and search for “search for input” or so. You activate a button and see the list of bindings that are attached to this button. Remove all you don’t need or change.
Also check the settings for the Dualsense controller, they also have R2 an assignment.
Bindings for external view, drone mode or slew mode do not conflict with cockpit funktions and can stay.
You are right the R2 buttons are used to scroll the EFB map. But there is not specific binding for this action to change. Also there is no specific binding for the context menu map popup action.
I also tried to use X botton on the map instead pf R2 which should work as the action button but it scrolls the map as well so I think 5is is simply not properly implemented and exposed to the binding settings.
Note I have a good knowledge how the binding settings works as I have spent quite some time to configure DualSense,VR sense and HOTAS controllers on PS5
