Sony and XBox have different update schedules, so not surprised by this.
I’m wondering why some people on reddit claim to have another version of the aircraft where they can actually use it and fly it normally but for the majority of us, we still with nav data problems…
This is part of the mystery. Apparently some PS5 users do have nav data, it’s just from an older AIRAC cycle. PMDG has never been able (or willing) to explain this inconsistency. I think it’s been just as much a mystery to them as it is to us.
This is beyond frustrating. I paid just over $100 AUD for this plane and it still doesn’t work due to the Nav Data issue.
I am hoping someone can give us credible information on where the latest update promised by PMDG is currently at and when we can expect a release.
I don’t understand how some PS5 users are now reporting the plane now works bu I tried mine tonight and still the same Nav Data issue when I try to enter a departure airport in the position and also I cannot import a flight plan from Sim Brief.
Hopefully Sony/Asobo release the fix soon so we can actually enjoy this plane and get the product we paid good money for.
Yes, I’ve come across reports from people saying that it works for them, but judging by the Marketplace rating of the aircraft, it still seems that a significant percentage of users are experiencing issues.
It pains me to say this, but the situation is starting to give the impression that this bug has simply been left to “run its course,” as if nobody is actually taking ownership of it. Microsoft/Asobo and PMDG appear to be passing responsibility back and forth, with each side stating that the fix needs to come from the other.
The situation with PMDG’s 737 is another indication of this. As a reminder, those who purchased the 737 have still been unable to use it since the middle of the summer.
This is simply unacceptable: a serious flagship product from a fairly major developer has effectively been left unusable for months, left on the roadside like a trash.
Hi Mathijs,
Did you get a response from Microsoft?
Just curious from anyone currently on PS5 - what version is showing for the 77F? PC/Xbox Marketplace was updated to .146 last Friday I believe.
.141 for me
I have version 141
That is simply incorrect.
Yes, a change in the simulator triggered the issue. However, we never asked Microsoft to fix it for us. What we asked for was information that could help us understand what had changed.
Finding the actual cause took a considerable amount of time because the issue was genuinely complex — and we were certainly not the only developer struggling with it. Feel free to ask some of the other companies that encountered the same problem; I suspect they have equally fond memories of the investigation.
Once we identified the cause, we fixed our side of the problem and uploaded the corrected files to the Marketplace. From that moment onward, the process is outside our control. Not because we are trying to avoid responsibility, not because we have lost interest, and certainly not because we enjoy watching customers wait. We simply do not control the Marketplace release process.
Unfortunately, we also receive very little information about its progress. In many cases, we are effectively waiting for updates alongside our customers. It is not exactly the level of visibility we would choose if somebody handed us the keys.
So the suggestion that PMDG is somehow avoiding ownership is simply wrong. We investigated the problem, found the cause, created the fix, tested it, and submitted it.
Where we do have a serious concern is that Microsoft Support is currently referring affected customers back to PMDG, even when the remaining issue is related to Marketplace deployment. Those customers deserve better than being used as human ping-pong balls between support departments. Unfortunately, that process is also not something we can control.
That said, please do contact PMDG Support if you are affected. We will help wherever we possibly can.
Console users are extremely important to us, and we are spending a significant amount of development and support time on these issues. Believe me, the current situation is enormously frustrating for us as well. We would much rather spend that time building airplanes than explaining for the fifteenth time that, sadly, PMDG does not have a large red “Publish to Marketplace Now” button hidden somewhere in the office.

Thank you for additional information and your time, appreciate it.
So same as I posted week ago, now we are all waiting for an Asobo community manager to reply (and it’s not allowed to ping them here, ridiculous)
I think they are MS’s Community Managers’ not Asobo’s - I can be corrected if wrong.
I do not know why the Dev’s collectively are not asking for a meeting with MS to iron out the Marketplace issues. It is such a shame they treat the dev’s with the equal contempt communication wise that they treat customers.
While the 777 arrived back in the PS5 MP it is a mystery as to why the 737 has not - nor has MS allowed a refund for this.
I do not believe a company should display such poor customer relations, even if it is only a small chunk of the whole conglomerate. We only get communication, it seems, when they want to extract money from us with purchases.
That would not be a correct statement. In many cases, there is very good communication that we appreciate very much. It is all a very complex system of dependencies that has become more complex with PSN. I believe that is the main issue.
We have never felt anything like ‘contempt’. Never. If that could be read from my post, I did not state things correctly.

Fair enough but they should still be answering your queries about your products, specifically those that are having issues, as to what the problem is and how long it will take to fix so you can update your customers.
MSFS needs to add in a couple of people to just deal with queries on a daily basis. That will improve customer relations and support both devs and pilots.
Hello Mathijs, did you received any internal information about the .146 version? Are they even testing it?
We have a meeting later on and will ask.
Mathijs
A user on our forum had the issue and is using a new version (he mentions beta?) that solves it. We are trying to figure this out. We haven’t received any new messages from our friends at Microsoft.
