PS5 - Use the touchpad as mouse cursor in menus and during flight

main menus:

I find it very fiddly to navigate the menu interface, can we have the touchpad and/or sticks to act as mouse cursor?

During flight:

With the controller, it is nearly impossible to select interactive controls by using the right stick to rotate the head. Is it possible to have the touchpad as a mouse cursor for cockpit interactions?

Touchpad as mouse cursor is an excellent idea.

I strongly agree, so as I suspected it is not currently possible? Could not find it in any hidden menus so far.

it is a good idea. But buying a 20€ wireless Mouse and Keyboard for the PS5 is way better, This makes operation much, much easier and faster.

I get what your saying, it makes sense. But most of us with consoles have it plugged into a tv in the living room, or the bedroom, and don’t sit infront of a desk, therefore becomes a bit more of a mess setting a keyboard and mouse up. Touchpad is capable to use as a courser, yeah not to the same extent as a mouse, but it is an alternative for those who dont have the room or comfort to sit there with a keyboard and mouse.

It seems like using the touchpad of the PS5 controller for scrolling in the EFB, the Marketplace and other places, would be easier and faster than trying to hit a scrollbar and using the right stick. It would be more natural and similar to what people are used to on other devices.

Agreed, but many people have mouses.

My vote would be just for the right stick to work for scrolling. Especially since that functionality is already present in the ATC communications log.

I think the right stick for scrolling should be implemented for all menus while in-fligh

I think the pointing precision and speed of the DualSense cursor mode would be improved if it were possible to move the cursor pointer using the controller’s touchpad.
