ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue: using PS5 VR2, if I get the error “VR2 is not able to recognize surroundings” and so FS2024 go on pause, when you resume the game you don’t get anymore texture in the cockpit. If you switch out from VR you get them back, but if you reactivate VR texture are still not loaded.
EDIT: actually the issue is happening in many occasion. Live traffic, pause and resume, …
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
So far it happened all the time it happened, nighttime and daytime.
REPRODUCTION STEPS
- You need to get the VR2 “unable to detect surroundings “ error
- OR you need to have LIVE ATC on
- OR you spend some time in flight and memory is full probably..
YOUR SETTINGS
PS5 VR2
Not replicating this on the PS5 Pro, everything is loaded in immediately with no textures missing in the cockpit.
Updated the bug report.
It’s not related to night, but to the “Unable to detect surrounding” error
I had a similar issue with the Saab, tried multiple times. I noticed a severe lag after turning avionics on. Pausing or switching to exterior view and then back will cause texture issues after this, albeit not as bad as the OP. Switching to flatscreen did not help.
Flying on base PS5 with PSVR2 and Hotas 4
After further investigation, this only happens when I start from cold&dark, everything works if I spawn with the engines/systems running. I however got a “low memory” warning at the end of the flight and the avionics were shut down, so clearly the saab is heavy on the PS5 system.
Interesting, same findings here. Recently I had les issue of this, eveni if I think it’s a collateral of some other fixes
Just to share that, basically, it’s impossible to fly the Saab 340 anymore with PS5 and VR. There is always a texture issue, whatever you do. Here I was just switching off and on VR mode to reply to an email.
I don’t know if this belongs to this thread or any of the other open threads on the subject, but the frustration is really at peak level
