PSVR2+TM HOTAS 4: cursor mode unusable

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

When in PSVR2 mode and using TM HOTAS 4 if I enable “Cursor Mode” it is not possible to move the cursor neither by any mapped HOTAS control nor by PSVR2 headset head tracking.

This makes full usage of “HOTAS only” controls in VR impossible on PS5(pro).

The best solution would be to control the Cursor movement in “cursor mode” by PSVR2 head movement or even better using the PSVR2 eye tracking.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every time.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

Run the game in PSVR2 headset

Enable PSVR2 mode

Connect TM HOTAS 4 controller

Bind the "toggle cursor mode " to some button on HOTAS

While in plane cockpit enable the “cursor mode” using HOTAS

The white cursor is shown for couple seconds but can’t be controlled. It dissapears after while.

Nothing can be controlled so just toggle off the “cursor mode” :-/

This would be a huge improvement! Really hoping at least on of these will get implemented soon:

  • Cursor mode with head movement in VR (cursor stays in the middle of your vision)
  • Cursor mode with mini directional stick on a joystick
  • Cursor mode with eye tracking (cursor follows your eye movements)

The solution using eye tracking sounds really appealing :+1:

PS. Funny how this thread has only two votes, but none from the posters. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Just upvoted  I thought it gets the poster’s vote automatically. Still learning this forums system. It’s a bit confusing.

Exactly! I don’t understand why majority of VR users prefer to wiggle with mouse around the cockpit when at least simple head tracking mode(to be compatible with all headsets) with cursor in the center would eliminate this need.
