Purchase of MSFS2024 information help needed

Hi all,

With recent SU3, MSFS2024 seem to be more stable to fly. I decided to owed it instead of using Xbox Game pass. My question as below and I need help to clear a doubts:

  1. Shall I purchase from Xbox app or MSFS Market place ?(I’m not prefer purchase from Steam).

  2. In Market place, I notice the price much lower compared in Xbox app. For example in Market place show MSFS standard version upgrade premium version, does this mean I need to owend the standard version before I can proceed to purchase the premium version upgrade? Or shall I purchase a premium version directly from Xbox app?

Your guidance is much appreciated!

  1. If you want the Premium version I recommend buying the Premium version the first time. Upgrading in the Marketplace later is more expensive overall.

  2. Price in MS Store and Xbox are the same. But in Xbox I note you can get both the PC and XBox version for 1 price. So if you want to upgrade later to PC you can.

  1. I don’t think you can buy the initial MSFS 2024 game in the Marketplace. You need to own it from the official sites before you can upgrade to the Premium version which is why it is cheaper to get it straight away. (others can correct me if I am mistaken). (I can’t see it for sale there - I can only see the “UPGRADE” versions and this might be because I already own it - BUT if you are on a trial it might show it).

Don’t buy it from the Marketplace, because that would only be an upgrade. The moment you stop paying for Xbox Game Pass, you’ll lose access to MSFS. Instead, make sure to purchase the game directly through the Xbox app or the Microsoft Store.
