I’d like to buy an OLED monitor to improve my experience (contrast, response time, …) and I was thinking about the G8 Neo or the AW34DW(F) which both use the same QD panel.
But I heard about the colour fringing issue due to the pixel structure. I know it’s more an issue with texts and less with gaming.
Though I’m afraid it could impact the clarity of texts on instruments displays.
I mainly fly the PMDG and wonder if users of these panels notice that effect in their glass displays.

I’m still a little hesistant about purchasing the Neo G9 
We thought about the G9 also but decided that the 49 inch screen would create some distortion when capturing Screenshots which is one of the Beloved Co Pilots ‘things’ that she likes to do.
We’ve been very happy with our current Alienware AW3420DW but the Joystick control has become inoperable and this is not covered by Dell’s 3 year warranty.
The only complaint we have about the screen is that it’s much more reflective than the AW3420DW.
Apart from that we’ve no other issues. Hope this helps you make your choice.

You are not noticing fringing around texts on the glass displays?
And one thing that I’m afraid of with OLED panels is the built in auto dimming feature when content is static (e.g during cruise).
I use a G9 myself and love it.
We’ve noticed no issues ref text with MSFS or any other application.
Our GPU is more than powerful enough to get the best from the screen. (FE 3090ti).
Anyway, good luck with with your search for an OLED screen.
