Always played MSFS in 72Hz and endured the odd stutter and low fps. Switched to 90Hz today and see a marked improvement. Anyone else get better performance with 90Hz as opposed to 72Hz?
What are your specs?
CPU
GPU
RAM
Are you using Virtual Desktop or Air Link or connecting directly to the computer.
Just so we can all compare performance.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5600x
GPU: RTX 3070
RAM: 64GB
Using Quest Link direct
I use 90hz and 15ft Link Cable (Airlink works good too) Twitch (video example)
With SpaceWarp enabled its smooth at 45FPS in game.
Render Resolution at 60% in game with everything Low except Clouds.
The i7-6700K and GTX1080 are running hot.
What does 60% resolution come out to? My final res is about 1900x1900 forgot exact numbers but its bare minimum for me to make out avionics and its 90% for me
Yep. 90hz for me as well. Feeling smoother this way
72Hz is outright no for me. I may be overly sensitive to it by I can see 72Hz flickering even as I’m putting my headset on. It’s like looking at an old CRT monitor. Strangely enough, I don’t have this issue with 80Hz though still use 90 just to be sure.
