Quest 2 performance and low end pc

i have a now classed as low end gaming pc i5 6600 with gtx1070 and 16gb ram corsair. all other games run smooth as silk in vr quest 2 , But i just cant work out what settings to put flight sim to get a smooth flight without jitters ,it’s very hit and miss it can be great for a while then it starts going horrible. cannot afford a new pc just yet so for all us skinties is there a settings guide to get some better perfomance please.

I’ve much the same PC as you and I can get Oculus Quest 2 VR running with an acceptable frame rate, 15-20 FPS and very few jitters, but I have to turn off ASW using Oculus Tray Tool and then the slower frame rate is visible especially on objects passing nearby, but it’s a consistent frame rate which I prefer. Graphics level is turned way, way down, nearly everything off or on low.

Hi everyone,
I have a Ryzen 5 3600, GTX 1080 and 16 GB RAM

I am wondering whether I should get a Rift S or a Quest 2. Don’t want a VR headset which is too taxing on my modest system. I mainly fly IFR and need to see the instrument readings, I’m not too much into sceneries.

Let me know what you think?

The sim has a great feature where if you look in the direction you want to see, like at an instrument, and you then press the right mouse button, your view zooms in as if your head has moved forwards in the direction you are looking. Release the right mouse button and your view goes back to normal. You can map that function to a joystick button if you want. I find this useful for reading small details.

I like the Quest 2 cos when I’m not simming I’m dancing around the room playing Beat Saber and it’s great having no cables.

Many thanks i will look into that ,i take it you mean the oculus debug tool?

I use Oculus Tray Tool to disable ASW but i think you can do it in the Oculus Debug Tool too.
