Quest 2 VR Settings - Great Performance

thanks so much for your answer! I’ll give it a try tonight (feels like it’s christmas for me xD)
and give you feedback. My setup is 5600X and 3070, 32gb.

i will do as follows then :

  • install openxr Tool kit → done
  • launch occulus app
  • launch FS2020 from windows in 2D then switch to 3D airlink
  • ctrl F2 will pop the openxr toolkit if i understand right

Yep! You got it. Install it, watch a few videos on the settings (or just use mine as baseline), once in VR in MSFS hit ctrl+f2 and enjoy! Some of the settings don’t take effect until you go out of VR and then come back in… no need to restart MSFS, you just have to ctrl+tab out then back in to get them to apply. But the toolkit UI will tell you when that’s the case. Just don’t restart MSFS like I did the first time  (I didn’t RTFM lol)

I do think that some of the glass cockpit gauge (PMDG 737+Airbus+others) clarity problems - with TAA or with DLSS-Quality - is the lack of gauge brightness in SU10 (complained about elsewhere in the forum threads). Even with display brightness knobs turned up fully, it just isn’t bright enough and therefore not enough contrast. Also, the fonts that were chosen sometimes just aren’t the best (sharp edges). With the above settings from DeeLee6800 or me (a little more pixel density and UserCfg sharpening), the outside world is much better than before and somewhat faster so I would really like to use DLSS-Quality. Maybe there is also still some Nvidia DLSS magic for small fonts in the future.
