I recently got a Quest 3 and have been tweaking it over the past few days. Overall I’m happy with it. I feel like the picture quality/sharpness is much less than what I’m used to in 2D… blow own colors and fuzziness for distant landscapes/mountains but still makes tweaks for that. The biggest issues I have that I can’t seem to find a solution for is that the bottom edges of both lenses have very pixelated/shimmering sections to a few degrees of the FOV. It’s only the bottom of the lenses, not the tops. No adjustments I make to anything seems to fix it or make it worse or better. Any suggestions….?
Are you running OpenXR Toolkit?
I am. The only changes I’ve made with that are the resolution override. But adjustments to that doesn’t seem to affect this area of blurred pixels on the bottom edges.
Check you haven’t enabled Fixed Foveated Rendering on the first tab as that will give the visual distortion you are describing.
