My Quest 3 just did an update to version V83, now I can not get the link to connect. The app opens up OK when I select launch, but never connects, Just hangs on the purple screen with the 3 dots.

Same, after headset update don’t connect.
Same. I’m regretting getting a Quest 3. This is at least the second time an update has completely broken my ability to use VR.

Same issue with a Quest 2 w/ link. These steps in this specific order seem to make it work about 70% of the time for me.
1-Make sure your Quest is powered down and not connected to usb.
2-Open the MetaQuest link PC App and leave the window displayed on your desktop. I know its dumb but I’ve had it only connect successfully ONLY with having the app window open. lol You can close it once you get it to link successfully.
3-Power up the Quest and plug in the cable and connect
4-If this doesn’t work, try opting into the Public Test Channel and see if it works. For awhile, this was the ONLY way I was able to connect.
Again this doesn’t work all the time, but seems to work for me with moderate success. Quest link has had this issue for years. Before anyone suggests using virtual desktop instead, it is a stutterfest for me personally.
Disconnect from the internet on your PC, launch Quest Link and connect to the PC, then reconnect to the internet. That worked for me.

Let’s all make sure we provide Meta some feedback on another unacceptable patch launch.
Looks like its a known issue:
Don’t know why, but this worked for me, also.
Do not start Meta Horizon Link, until you have disabled internet connection.
While not connected to the internet, then start Meta Horizon Link, and connect your headset to PC. At this point, you can re-enable the internet and it will work.
This issue is over 24 hours old.
I got an update to the Oculas app this morning, connects with no issues now.
BUT, now my FPS has dropped from 36 to 13, with no changes to any settings.
What is going on?
