You guys helped me back on February getting things tweaked and I had a lot of fun but kinda lost interest after a few months and played other games. Now I’m coming back and I cant seem to finish one flight without the Q3 freezing. The sim is still fine and can continue on screen but in no way can I get the VR headset back operational again till I close everything out and have to force Virtual Desktop closed.

TPlink wifi6E router with only Q3 connected to 6ghz although its the same as 5ghz with everything connected.
VD is set to the openxr setting “vdxr”??
Ive used all the codecs mainly AV-1 and the H-264+. Auto bitrate using the 3090 setting (not godlike) also using spacewarp.
Any ideas on why im getting freezes and basicall disconnects from Q3 to VD? Where do i start?
Try just using hevc-10bit for now at 130mbps bitrate. Also, check your win10/11 graphics settings and disable hardware acceleration graphics (HAGS). Probably also best to turn game mode off. Also best to run msfs2020 in the stock default dx11 mode, not experimental dx12 because this can cause stability issues.
Nvidia control panel 3d global settings all default except power = prefer max power and change the Quality default below this to High Performance.

Not sure is its the power setting or the HAGS but I did my first trouble free flight and cycled in and out of VR about 5-6 times which was impossible to do even once before. Hope it wasnt a fluke but it worked like it used to. Thank you again
About 5 lines down from the NCP power settings is Texture Filtering-Quality. Quality is default but I find that setting this to High performance buys a couple extra fps without any difference in pcvr clarity. Not exactly life changing but every little bit helps imho.

I will say turning off HAGS fixed my issue. I have not froze once and have done several flights and cycle in and out of VR repeatedly try to get it to freeze…
Hi, Interested in your posts and have a twist. My Quest 3 running Virtual Desk Top works great in 2020 but will freeze as soon as I attempt a takeoff in 2024. 17-10700K, 4060TI, 32gb ram. Just wondering if the same issues you outline could be present in 2024?
