just a quick question. When connecting to Vatsim do i leave live weather in the sim OR Vatsim (Vpilot) has another weather engine?

Vpilot does not have a weather engine, you have to set live weather in the sim, however at the moment is not working very well… hopefully they will fix that in the near future.
