Is it possible to pop out and drag G3000/5000 screens and have them function on RealSimGear or similar brand G1000 units? Looking for a good solution that can cover multiple aircraft beyond G1000 planes, like the HondaJet, TBM930, Longitude, etc.
I got this response from Nick at RealSim Gear, when I asked him a similar question. I like their solutions a lot, but like you occasionally want to fly different planes with more sophisticated avionics than the G1000.
Nick’s Response:
At the present time we do not have a solution that would allow the G1000 to control the G3000 avionics suite in MSFS since the G3000 avionics in MSFS uses a touch screen interface for about 98% of the controls. Our G1000’s do not feature a touch screen interface. The only thing that would be able to be controlled would be some of the basic functions of the autopilot as long as their function is not tied specifically to the TBM 930, meaning they would use a generic MSFS command.
