Question regarding approach and "fly back to last waypoint"

Hello all

I am on an IFR flight. I get the approach instructions and enter this into the G1000 via the procedures.
Now the autopilot wants to go back to the last waypoint (which - with short trips - is often the departure airport).
If I try to delete this waypoint the whole FP get’s deleted.
What can I do to prevent MSFS wanting to go back to the last waypoint?
