I wasn’t very active in MSFS 2024 until the SU4 release because VR was very unstable and limited. Now that most things are running stably, I’m getting back into it and busy adjusting various settings.
At the moment, I still have some problems with the aircraft controls profiles in MSFS 2024. Specifically, for my Thrustmasters HOTAS Warthog joystick. Under General Controls, I have my main profile and, under Aircraft Controls, I have one profile for VR and one for non-VR and for all aircraft. If I change/delete a key assignment in one profile, does it also apply to the other profile. This is confusing to me because I want to control the entire view using the POV button in non-VR, but I don’t need this option in the VR profile. What am I doing wrong and can you tell me what I oversee and what the steps are to solve this behaviour?
Or would I first need to create a second nonVR profile under general controls in order to then create an independent nonVR joystick under aircraft controls? I have the same question regarding separate configurations for helicopters, for example.
I have another question regarding the assignment of commands to the joystick buttons. Is it correct that I can also configure a command assignment as a combination of simultaneously pressing two or three joystick buttons?
If this were possible, it would offer me quite a few simplifications and new possibilities, especially in VR. For example, I could define a shift button on the joystick and thus assign multiple functions to different buttons. However, this assumes that it works flawlessly and without conflicts. I already use this feature on my steering wheels for sim racing.
I am very grateful for your support and for answering my questions. Thank you very much.
