1st off, I am on the XBOX Series X.
I purchased Areosoft’s Simple Traffic DLC, for XBOX, when it appeared in the fs marketplace about 7 months ago.
After having it a very short time, it dissappeared from my downloads page, not of my choosing, and yet, I see that I own it for the pc.
IT WAS AVAILABLE FOR THE XBOX!!!
WHAT HAPPENED???
and I still have not received any credit or a refund for said purchase.
Why??
2nd. I purchased the Worldwide E-Jets AI DLC just over a week or so and noticed today…same thing.
Gone from my dowloads page and no credit or refund to speak of.
Why does this happen?
Who is responsible for this?
Ŵhere is my refund or credit?
Do I need to seek legal action if i’m not the only one on XBOX this has happened to???
Aerosoft’s forum shows that Simple Traffic hasn’t worked on Xbox since SU10 (I believe) and they were waiting for info from Microsoft (which apparently never came) to deal with it:
I can tell you not to get your hopes up with Zendesk - my experience with multiple tickets is that they work hard to CLOSE tickets without working to RESOLVE a user’s issue.
3rd party add ons seem to be treated as buyer-beware. You have to do your own checking for compatibility - and look at the author’s history of keeping their addons compatible with Sim Updates. That alone isn’t really enough - there is a huge backlog of addon updates waiting for approval by Microsoft, but with a new Sim Update every couple of months, it seems almost impossible for developers to support customers.
Addons are also treated as consumables - there is no guarantee, if you bought it, you ‘consumed it’ and they don’t refund after X number of days.
In other words, the whole marketplace is a work in progress, and I for one have not had the confidence to make any purchases.
I WANT to make purchases - there are some amazing things by talented developers I want to try. But until the sim is consistently stable with addons, until developers can get updates there in a timely manner, and until refund policy is explained and makes sense, I’m staying away.
