my GF just got me an XB series X for my BD, and I currently have a series S. Can I transfer my FS2020 to my new X, or do I have to do a whole new install?
if a nes install how does that work exactly if I already have it installed on another XB?
i think a new sim installation is required as for all the content (world updates, 3rd party addons) but all the settings should be tied to your account so once installed you should find everything as it was on the on the series s
I have an XBox S and the performance is very disappointing, esp after SU11. Lots of CTDs. Strongly considering a PC just for MSFS. Can’t enjoy the full experience on XBox because so much doesn’t work.
Have you got Pelican installed ?
I’ve got Xbox Series S with MSFS installed and all updates and some add-on third party planes.
I uninstalled Pelican on it’s release and have had no issues whatsoever, since I uninstalled Pelican.
All my settings are at maximum and my series S runs as smooth as anything. It worked for me.
Hope this helps.
Pelican is the stupid sci-fi aircraft from Halo, that was introduced in WU/SU 10 I think. I personally download and install every update on MSFS just to keep everything, up to date. However, the pelican
was part of the MSFS update number 10 I think. Immediately after downloading and installing the update which included the Pelican, I started having problems, ( eg: long load times, freezes, stuttering, crashes, etc ) So after a bit of trial and error I uninstalled the Pelican Craft and as soon as I uninstalled Pelican Halo Craft, everything started working perfectly again and as been working perfectly ever since.
I hope I’ve been clear enough in my explanation and what has worked for me. Give it a go, because you’ve got nothing to lose.
Best of luck.
No all your purchases are bound to your gamertag. You will not loose anything. You must just redownload it, if you completetly unsintstall the game. Even if you rmove to another console with your gamertag, all the purchased stuff is still there.
Hi. If you completely uninstall and reinstall MSFS, I would suggest installing the flight sim and test the SIM/Game before you install any of your purchased items. Then if the SIM runs ok, add your purchases one at a time and test the SIM each and every time you’ve added one of your purchased items. That way you might be able to find out whether it’s the SIM/Game that’s the problem, or if it’s one of your purchased items that’s causing the problems.
Best of luck.
If you use your XB Gamertag on the PC and you download it from the Microsoft Store, you don’t need to rebuy it, as the license you buyed on XB ist also valid on PC. If you want to buy it from Steam, you must rebuy it again.
