Quick solution for elgato stream deck buttons, custom icons? (going on dofreality h6)

I fly mainly in vr on my h6 dofreality rig, but i wanted more buttons, so i picked up an elgato stream deck. (secondary issue is mounting it on the h6 rig somehow or via a mount clamp arm)

From what i’m seeing i see two ways to use it, use flight deck profiles? plugin or use axis and ohs? (or both?), a little confused.

Id like custom buttons but dont want to spend hours creating icons either.

My basic funcitons would be for things like recenter motion compensation (out side of msfs need), or for in msfs, maybe custom cameras or bringing up other vr toolboxes in the sim (i guess the latter maybe has to involve axis and ohs).

I do already have a license for the axis and oh’s but trying to keep it simple here as i wont be able to “see” the buttons short of a passthrough camera perhaps (but cant use passthrough atm stuck on older pimax 1.14 for motion smoothing).

Any quick tips?

Which one did you get? 15 buttons?

You will love the Streamdeck. I have four! You will also love flightsim.to Go amd have a look there at profiles, icon packs and more.

Axis and Ohs is brilliant. You will need the Streamdeck plugin, but also install Flight Tracker which works wonderfully either independently or together with A and Os

its the 15

Same here. I used to have loads of pages but found since moving to exclusively flying in VR, I wasn’t really using them. So I redid my layout to be more useful for VR and doing it by “feel” alone for the main functions I need.

So basically, I have the main things I need at the 4 corners, and then other things in the bottom and top centre positions. Those are easy to find just by feeling it.

Other stuff I use less, I put tucked away in sub-menus access from the centre button(my MFD - Multi Function Display lol) and the middle left and right slots. Left some slots empty for future but I’m not really even needing them!.

I am only using the FlightTracker plugin from .to.

CAMERAS PAGE (has lots more sub-menus but Seat Adjust is the one I use most in VR):

There is a bit more to it than that, but hopefully that will give you an idea. Easy to set up, but I am happy to send you my profile if you want it as a starting point.

Thats brilliant thank you, along the lines of what i was looking for, lots of things on your panels i think id find useful, so i wouldnt mind the profile if you dont mind. Some functions i’d use to control outside apps like the motion comp. recentering etc.

How do you that attached, do you have a motion rig. Im debating using 3m interlocking type attachments ontop of my honeycomb quadrant, perhaps, or finding some sort of arm to attach to the rig (cell phone holder maybe)

I will DM you the profile

For attaching, I don’t have a motion rig (I wish!) but you can’t go wrong with this Nano Tape stuff! Most of my rig is held together with it. It should stay firm!

Cheers for the tip on that tape Baracus. I have been using Gorilla mounting tape but it is hard to get off and yours looks very useful.

Yeah it’s amazing stuff. Super sticky but comes off easily (weird, huh?) and it’s washable (if you get animal fur on it for example) and remains just as sticky. It’s not regular ‘sticky stuff’, rather some space-age material that works on a molecular level I think! Like flies sucker feet but millions of them?
