For the easiest way to get to Star Wars Canyon aka Jedi Transition in Death Valley National Park in California take-off from Panamint Springs Airstrip (KSEL) and fly 7.5 km ( 4.5mi / 4 nm ) due west to Father Crawley’s Overlook. The canyon is hard to miss 
. Being there gives you some idea of the skill possessed by military pilots flying sorties through the canyon.
