Hello,
So I’m on SU10 and no matter if I spawn at a gate, or fly into an airport. If it is raining according to live weather. It will rain for a few minutes then the rain just stops and there is no more rain. The dark grey gloomy clouds remain but no rain…

Same here the only way i seem to be able to get lasting rain is if its a severe storm even then sometimes it dies down.

And also it is only raining in VERY low altitudes, that’s an immersion killer!!!

Not only that but when it has stopped raining, the ground dries up instantly. It needs sorting.

Not new for SU10 either - I noticed this from when I first got the sim over a year ago. If you use an external app to inject the weather the rain can persist, but never with live weather.

what rain…metar show overcast and there is nothing out there…FIX IT PLZ
I might have to recant my earlier post. I was in Eugene, Oregon earlier this week and it didn’t stop raining heavily for the 30minutes I was sat on the ground.
Same me also. after 3-4 minute rain stop
anyone else still having this issue? Where the rain stops for some reason??
Yes i still have this isseue. I had a flight yesterday and METAR was showing rain for a 30 mins period but it rained only for max 5 mins. There’s something wrong with the live weather.
Can confirm, same problem every time. Happened this morning at EGBB. Rain for a few minutes then it stops, clouds dissipate and blue skies appear. Even when the metar reports overcast and rain, it always clears up and blue skies come by the time you’ve set the aircraft up, loaded and departed.
This is my personal understanding:
Even if it says rain in the METAR string, rain does not come from the METAR, it comes from the clouds under certain conditions (unknown algorithm ?) and those clouds are coming from the Meteoblue forecast.
What comes from the METAR are: wind/pressure/temperature/visibility only.

Yep from time to time.
That why Active Sky FS is must have add-on.
