RAM usage

nothing specific, my sim performance hasn’t been great in VR so i was just curious if i could use the RAM that isn’t being used by my system to see if that could help. i sent my pc to my local PC specialist shop for a health check etc , they stress tested everything and checked power supply and all the other stuff and found my pc was in perfect working order .

I had issues with DLSS and DX12 and reverted back to TAA and DX11 and i can at least start the sim now but in VR its just a stutter fest with minimum settings. thanks for the reply anyway

PC specs :

Samsung pro M2 500GB (OS only)
Samsung pro M2 500GB(games drive)
64gb corsair vengeance @3200
ryzen 5800x boosting at 4.9ghz
rtx 3070ti (not overclocked)
AIO Cooler
Vive cosmos DP connected

ah , that’s maybe what my issue is then , thats good to know.

Yes everyone is aware of this problem. One of the main targets of SU10 beta was indeed to improve memory management. However SU11 includes a new memory fragmentation feature to prevent high VRAM usage so it seems we still have an issue here and all current fixes were not enough.

Cheers

Thx! I’ll wait for the Windows update and/or NVIDIA driver that fixes this. Almost makes me want to try AMD or the new Intel GPU. I’m tired of MS and NVIDIA pointing fingers at each other.
